I enjoyed making these but let me warn you they take a lot of time. Clean your glass and decide on your design then begin laying the sequins. Once dry add a coat of clear spray or modge podge!
My beautiful butterflies are made out of heavy plastic #1 . I outline a butterfly and cut it out. Using permanent markers I color them in on both sides and pain a thin coating of mod podge . when it dries I color in the butterfly again. repeat the steps of color, mod podge, dry as many times as needed (3 or 4) works best.
I found books of material on the side of the street on garbage day. I used these to make curtains for the top paert of the glass door. Keep in mind that this door goes out to our garbage porch and is next to the house next door. The grapes and leaves I had.
I painted on the inside of this window in a simple pattern in the colors of my kitchen with black as a boarder. It looks beautiful on a sunny day or at night with the back porch light on.
Finally I Painted the panals of the door the colors of the kitchen with the black as a boarder here too .
Sometimes it is hard to figure out what to do with bits and peices we collect from loved ones or bought cuz we thought it was cute. Grandma had these three peices from her mom and she loved them. I know this because she kept them in a box hidden. She put the things she loved away for safe keeping but rarely got to enjoy them because they were away. I on the other hand beleive I should see and enjoy the things I love and cherish. with a good glass glue I glued the two cups together end to end with the handals opposite and ordimental. I then glued the plate to the rim of the cup. It was that simple. Now it is used all the time and sits on my dining table with a candle on top.
