I made this tree to display my butterflies at the art show...I used a glass vase upside down so the base is large and wont tip over. I hot glued two floral Styrofoam bricks together and then to the bottom of the vase. I decoupaged blue tool to the outside of the vase wrapped a garland of leaves around it. added silver ribbon to the place where the bricks and glass meet. I added a bow to the base and a flower to the top! The best part was stocking it with 100 hand made butterflies, dragon flies and fairy flies!
I enjoyed making these but let me warn you they take a lot of time. Clean your glass and decide on your design then begin laying the sequins. Once dry add a coat of clear spray or modge podge!
My beautiful butterflies are made out of heavy plastic #1 . I outline a butterfly and cut it out. Using permanent markers I color them in on both sides and pain a thin coating of mod podge . when it dries I color in the butterfly again. repeat the steps of color, mod podge, dry as many times as needed (3 or 4) works best.
this bottle was a bit more difficult. I Painted the bottle white then in pencil drew my Santa on the bottle. I ten painted the red on the bottle. The hair and beard is unraveled cotton balls and modge podge. as is the nose and then painted. I used a piece of black ribbon and foil for the belt and buckle. I used white glitter over the fur of his coat. The hair and beard has hardened and it appears ceramic... After I painted his hands and face on I modge podged the entire bottle to encase it all and make it shiny and pretty! Hope you make one of your own!.
my green green & not much green chandelier has it's name beacause it is green in color, green in that it is made from pop 2 lt's and water bottles, and not much green because I had to spend $8.50 on brass wire when I ran out...but i only used about half so more like $4.25 and that is not much! Everything other than the wire I bought I had in the art studio.
When I started I switched the bulbs to smaller bulbs and my honer put in a dimmer switch for me. I cut out roundish to oval shaper close in shape peices from 7 up, siera mist, and sprite pop bottles for the green peices. I used water bottles for the clear peises. I made strands by stringing them together with wire and beads in between them. I had a found large plastic round hoop the perfect size as a base. I wound white ribbon around it to hide the brown and the wires holding them up. My honey hung it up with two hanger wires...... we love it!
This is my main craft desk. and this is the first part i made of this set. I used glue and just made a collage of bling and buttons and jewlery and shells...whateve i found and wanted in it i glued to it!
I did this part on a frame with a peice of wood in it insread of glass. I attached it to the book case door by first putting two eye hooks into the book case door just to the sides of the frame and then held the frame in place whils screwing in an eye hook through the first eye hook into the frame on both sides...it allows it to swing a bit but mainly I can remove it easily and the eye hook holes could be fixed easily as well.
Just a box that i painted white and then made to match.

Pulling any room together may require a face lift....painting all your frames the same color is one way of bringing it together....I like things that match. Using a little contact paper you can make anything match too!
the desk was completely white while the big work table (lower right corner)had a pink and white top.
the green and white contact paper 2 rolls from $dollar store was more than enough!
using the bottom of a plastic 2lt bottle i papered it and now i have a cute garbage for on my desk....
